West Coast travels

Caroyln & Isolina RicciMy recent trip to the west coast was a week, but the intensity of the experience made it feel like I was gone for a month! My first stop was the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. Over 1,000 professionals involved in all aspects of family courts were there from all over the world - judges, lawyers, child protection workers, therapists, mediators and more. I was an exhibitor and had the chance to meet and mingle with many of the participants. One of the highlights was meeting Dr. Isolina Ricci, author of “Mom’s House Dad’s House” and “Mom’s House, Dad’s House for Kids.” She’s a wonderful woman and I consider her books to be absolute “must have” reference books for any family going through separation and divorce.

Caroyln & Moreah RagusaI also had the pleasure of meeting divorce expert, inspirational speaker  and host of Divorce Talk Radio, Moreah Ragusa. She’s a dynamic woman with a huge vision and meeting her was definitely like meeting a kindred spirit!  For those of you in the Vancouver area, my book will now be sold locallly at 32Books stores in North Vancouver - thanks Deb McVittie for stocking them!

Caroyln & Barbara De Angelis
My next stop was Palm Springs, where I was immersed in a 3-day intensive with transformational leader and relationship expert, Barbara De Angelis. She’s a brilliant teacher who encouraged all of the Transformation Circle members, like myself, to continue to go “deep and up.” Dig deep for the wisdom of our life experiences. Take a step back and look at them from the perspective of our highest selves, so if we could see from “up” there, why did we co-create this experience? What lesson were we designing for ourselves? Great questions to ask, especially if you’re in the day-to-day drama that can cloud our long-term perspective. Here’s a picture of us together - tired but elated after our journey together.
